What we take with us

During the first 200 interviews, several Brussels residents said they had had the opportunity to go abroad for a while to study, work or live. For various reasons, they returned to Brussels. This talk explored our cosmopolitan capital as a fluid and interconnected city, where people have family all over the world. Participants talked about Molenbeek and its potential to live together despite differences, thanks to its inspiring and heartwarming human richness.

Lors des 200 premières interviews, plusieurs Bruxellois·e·s ont raconté avoir eu l’occasion de partir à l’étranger pendant un certain temps, pour les études, le travail ou y vivre. Pour différentes raisons, ils·elles sont retourné·e·s à Bruxelles. Cette discussion explore notre capitale cosmopolite en tant que ville fluide et interconnectée, où les habitant·e·s ont de la famille partout dans le monde. Les participant·e·s ont parlé de Molenbeek et de son potentiel d’y vivre ensemble, malgré la différence grâce à sa richesse humaine inspirante et touchante.

Tijdens de eerste 200 interviews vertelden meerdere Brusselaars dat ze de kans hadden gehad om een tijdje naar het buitenland te gaan om daar te studeren, te werken of te wonen. Om verschillende redenen keerden ze terug naar Brussel. Deze talk verkende onze kosmopolitische hoofdstad als een fluïde en geïnterconnecteerde stad, waar mensen familie hebben over de hele wereld. De deelnemers spraken over Molenbeek en het potentieel om er samen te leven ondanks de verschillen, dankzij de inspirerende en hartverwarmende menselijke rijkdom.
